Joke Of The Day

Joke Of The Day

When Sola was in SS3. His teacher always yelled at him, calling him “a waste of conception, time and space. And a sure failure in life”.

One day, poor Sola’s grand mother came to school to check out how her grandson was doing. The teacher told her quite frankly that she had never seen such a dumb boy all her life; and advised her to withdraw and enroll him under an artisan, because formal schooling for Sola would be a total waste of time and money. The grandmother, shocked at the teacher’s remarks, withdrew her grandson from the school and relocated to Maiduguri.

**** 25 years later **** The teacher was diagnosed with a brain tumour. All the doctors she met advised her to do surgery. And only a certain doctor in the whole of Nigeria (practicing in Maiduguri) could perform this procedure. Left with no alternative, the poor teacher agreed to have the surgery performed.
Fortunately, It was successful. When she awoke hours after the surgery, she saw a handsome young doctor smiling down at her. She was on artificial respiration from a machine that provided her oxygen. She wanted to thank him but could not speak. She looked sideways and suddenly began to express shock & anguish, her face started to turn pale; she frantically made attempts to raise her hand and tell him something but couldn’t. She struggled, she fought hard- Then she gave up the Ghost and died. The young doctor was shocked. He tried to find out what went wrong.

Eventually he found out that it was our dear Sola (now working as a cleaner in the hospital) who had disconnected the lady’s oxygen machine to connect his phone charger. Wait ooo!… Don’t tell me you thought that Sola became the doctor? lol If I hear…. Sola no know book period!!!

 Enjoy!!!!

Oliseh, Enyeama at each other’s throat in Belgium

Oliseh, Enyeama at each other’s throat in Belgium

THE Super Eagles camp in Belgium has been torn into shreds following squabbles between Coach Sunday Oliseh and captain Vincent Enyeama ahead of tomorrow’s friendly against Congo.
The arrival of Lille goalkeeper and captain of the Eagles in Belgium which ordinarily should bring cheers to the camp instead, turned the camp into a war zone following allegations of anti-camp activities against the captain.
Very reliable sources in camp informed Sports Vanguard that players who had been loyal and training religiously under started sowing the apple seed of discord among the players, a situation that Oliseh vowed he would not tolerate.
‘’Things are no longer at ease in camp. There was an open shouting match between the coach and Enyeama’’, our source said on our hotline last night.
The source claimed that Sunday Oliseh was so furious that he threatened to work out of the Eagles camp if Enyeama does not leave camp.
‘’Oliseh still insists Vincent Enyeama should be decamped or he will work out of camp’’.
Sports Vanguard gathered that attempts by officials of the NFF to calm the nerves of Oliseh and Enyeama did not yield any fruit as it appeared to escalate with Enyeama allegedly boasting that he had more caps for the Eagles than Oliseh.
The altercations  we learnt has dampened the high spirit of players in camp and may affect the performance of the team against Congo in the friendly tomorrow.
The Eagles are also to play the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Sunday in a double header friendly arranged by the NFF to prepare them ahead of the 2017 World Cup qualifiers.
Oliseh has since announced Ahmed Musa as captain of the Eagles in place of Enyeama.

Ministerial List: Senate begins screening of nominees Oct 13

Minsters
ABUJA—CONTRARY to the plea of President Muhammadu Buhari for expeditious screening and confirmation of his ministerial nominees, the senators are not in a hurry to do so. They are asking for the citation and resume of the 21 nominees to ensure “due diligence.”

Consequently, Nigerians, who expected the nominees to be screened today, will have to wait till next Tuesday when the exercise will begin. The senators said the three-day screening will hold between October 13 and 15.

Message To All Nigeria Students

We all in know that universities in Nigeria are not what it used to be before during the time
of our forefathers. Universities then produced excellent students with virtues people like
Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Prof Femi Osofisa, Elechi Amadi to mention a few most
attended the University Of Ibadan then affiliated with the University of London in the early
1900's. One question, when last did we see icons like those mentioned above from present
universities. The highest I've seen are oil workers and politicans.
What is the university nowadays? It's a place of whores,a place of wars between cults, a
place where people's callings and enthusiasm are abandoned for a roll of weed and a bottle
of gin. A bank for wrong values where people deposit some and other people pick. Old men
come for university girls, politicians come for young boys not for good but miserable
things.
Well I noticed that all this attitudes where picked up mostly in the search of money by a
student since their parents are not capable unlike those days when only people under
scholarship or people that have rich parents. Get to the university due to ignorance and
poverty but now everybody wants his/her child in college. To conclude:
•These flaws are caused by an overpopulated, mixed attitude, and unwilling student
presence.
•Inadequate student funding from parents and guardian.
SOLUTION:
•Students should get legal jobs no matter how small
experience is the core
•Jobs should be made available and comfortable for O level.
certificate holders to reduce the pressure on higher
Institutions and leave it for people who consider it necessary.

Chelsea's Jose Mourinho Charged With Misconduct By FA

Chelsea's Jose Mourinho Charged With Misconduct By FA

José Mourinho has been charged with misconduct by the Football
Association after suggesting referees are “afraid to give decisions to
Chelsea” in the wake of Saturday’s home defeat by Southampton.
The Portuguese was infuriated that Robert Madley did not award his
side a second-half penalty when Maarten Stekelenburg darted off his
line and made contact with Radamel Falcao in the box. The
Colombian, who appeared to have been falling when contact was
made, was booked for a dive. Southampton had been denied two spot-
kicks earlier in the contest when Virgil van Dijk was tugged down by
Branislav Ivanovic and Ramires appeared to step on Sadio Mane’s
foot.
Mourinho, whose team capitulated immediately after the non-award
of the spot kick to Chelsea, appeared to acknowledge he would be
sanctioned before launching into his criticism of the officials in a
seven-minute monologue delivered to Sky immediately after the game.
“I think, first of all, I want to say that because we are in such a bad
moment you should not be afraid to be honest,” he said. “When we
are at the top there is quite big pleasure in putting us down. But when
you are so down I think it is time to be honest and say clearly that
referees are afraid to give decisions to Chelsea.
“At 1-1 there is a huge penalty and, once more, we do not get it. It was
at a crucial moment in the game. I repeat, if the FA wants to punish
me they can punish me, it is not a problem. But I want to repeat
because my players deserve it, Chelsea fans deserve it. I am a Chelsea
fan too. I want to say again that referees are afraid to give decisions to
Chelsea. Why? Because when they do give there is always a question
mark from you, there is always a critic. So we are always punished.
“We are [already] punished because Diego Costa is suspended with
images. In other matches we see it doesn’t happen. Clear penalties
were not given. Even in the Champions League [at Porto] when we
lost 2-1, a game with not three officials but five, we are not given a
penalty in the last minute. And this decision was crucial. Do you know
why? Because my team, in this moment, collapse with the first
negative thing that happens. It was a giant penalty that he was afraid
to give. Like everybody else is afraid to give.”

The FA confirmed the charge in a statement released on Monday
evening, alleging Mourinho’s remarks “constitute improper conduct in
that they allege and/or imply bias on the part of a match official or
match officials and/or bring the game into disrepute.” The Chelsea
manager has until 6pm on Thursday to respond to the charge.
Although there are no set punishments for breaches of rules such as
this while conducting media duties, the manager is likely to be fined if
found guilty. That would be his fourth such sanction since returning to
English football in 2013, following an altercation with Chris Foy on the
pitch at Aston Villa and a sarcastic appraisal of Mike Dean’s
performance in a defeat by Sunderland, both in his first season back in
the Premier League.
Those brought fines of £8,000 and £10,000 respectively, with the
manager fined £25,000 in January after claiming a “campaign” had
been mounted against Chelsea after a draw against Southampton at the
end of last year. On that occasion Cesc Fàbregas had been booked for
simulation by the referee, Anthony Taylor, having been fouled by Matt
Targett.
