10 Things You Could Buy With N20 In The Year 2000

EVERYTHING is expensive these days. If you live in Nigeria, you know this. If you don't live in Nigeria, you've heard about it.

It has gotten to the point where people are scared to go and buy the stuff they need. It is a terrible something.

So we decided to flashback to a time when things were better. A time when N20 naira could buy you a lot of stuff. The year 2000.

Strap yourselves in for this super fun ride that will also leave you in tears over the state of Nigeria's economy.

The nostalgia will be real.

1. Bread

Remember when you didn't need more than N100 to buy a sizable loaf of bread? We remember too. *sad face*

2. Goody Goody

Do they even still make these??

3. 4 sachets of pure water.

Now, in some places, it'll only buy you one.

4. Any 4 of these biscuits.

5. Kuli Kuli

Now the least is N50. *sad sigh*

6. Roasted Corn

Delish! Lol

7. Nutri-C

8. 2 Pens

Now one is like N30.

9. A decent plate of food.

Not a lot of food. But a good amount to keep you going for a while.

10. At least, 2 sachets of detergent.

This is all hilarious because back then, we thought stuff was bad and that it couldn't possibly get any worse.

We had no idea how wrong we were.
